Every Friday, our deals experts set aside their usual affinities for finding discounts to search the web for the week’s best product drops. After all, there are so many new product releases that it’s hard to know what’s worth caring about, let alone worth buying. That’s why we round up a short list of our favorites from the last seven days.
This week, our editors are highlighting our favorite launches from July, Satechi and Stanley. Senior deals editor Rikka Altland details the experience of adding Satechi’s latest charger to her desk, while exploring what’s new with Stanley’s leakproof water bottle. Plus, associate deals editor Elena Matarazzo breaks down the launch of a fresh July Capsule suitcase. All that and more below.
This new 140W charger has earned a spot on Altland’s desktop
Headlining this week’s newest releases, the folks over at Satechi have launched the ChargeView, a 140W desktop charging station meant to cut back on the clutter typically associated with powering several devices at once. Altland has been using it this week and will be replacing the existing Satechi charger that has been sitting on her desk for several years with this smaller, yet somehow more powerful, desktop power solution.
The Satechi ChargeView arrives with four USB-C ports, which can all be used simultaneously to charge smartphones, MacBooks, power banks, earbuds, smartwatches and truly any other device that can plug into a Type-C connector. The adapter relies on Gallium Nitride (GaN) technology, which is what allows it to fit in the palm of your hand. Because it’s ultimately so small compared to other chargers, Satechi has included a weighted base in the box that allows you to secure it in place on your desk. Altland loves that you can use it horizontally or vertically and that the onboard screen automatically adjusts to the orientation you position it in. The screen allows you to monitor the power output in real time and also see how it optimizes to charge your devices as quickly as possible.
A compact form and ample charging power have earned this a spot on Altland’s desk for the foreseeable future. She has been using it to power her MacBook and other gadgets at her desk, and she appreciates that it hasn’t broken a sweat when refueling four devices at a time. Unlike other chargers that she relies on (like Anker’s Nano offerings), this one comes with a power cord that allows you to position it away from a wall outlet. All that combined helps justify the $100 price tag you’ll find at Satechi’s own online storefront.
The latest upgrade from the brand that makes our favorite water flossers
For its next trick, Waterpik is aiming to take the guesswork out of gum health with the unveiling of the ProMax. The brand is the undisputed heavy hitter in our guide to the best water flossers, with a countertop model holding top honors for its reliability and dental-grade performance. This latest addition, the ProMax, is engineered to address a common user hurdle: the hesitation to turn up the pressure. Its new SmartAdvance mode starts at a gentle intensity and automatically increases the water flow over two weeks, allowing gums to acclimate comfortably and, thus, help reverse bleeding in as little as six weeks, per the brand.
The slimmer design is noticeably more countertop-friendly than its predecessors, featuring a compact footprint and QuietPulse technology that mutes the motor’s hum. It’s a thoughtful upgrade for shared bathrooms, especially since the digital LED panel now supports dual-user memory to save personalized settings for two people. The unit comes equipped with five specialized tips, including a Precision tip for deep cleaning and an Orthodontic tip for braces, and it has a high-volume reservoir that provides a full 90 seconds of flossing time without a refill.
Given the brand’s track record in our rigorous testing, this launch underscores Waterpik’s knack for taking a necessary chore and making it feel significantly more intuitive. The ProMax offers an ADA-accepted way to bolster your flossing routine, all for $150. That’s $50 more than our best-tested pick, but it’s worth noting that our deals experts frequently spot discounts on the brand’s models.
July is kicking off the spring travel season with the launch of one of its most innovative bags yet. The new Capsule Carry-On Pro looks to make storing away enough clothing for a trip easier with its top-down packing design. Most of us at CNN Underscored have roller bags that feature a standard clamshell opening, but with this new top-down method, you can neatly pack folded items, shoes and outfits without hoping that the bag zips closed after splitting your belongings across the two sides.
This new approach also leads to deeper pockets and the ability to take pieces out of your suitcase without fully opening it. It eliminates the awkward moments in hotel rooms where you don’t have enough room on the floor or when you lack a luggage stand to completely open up your bag. It fills a sizable gap in the luggage space and gives people relief in those random moments at the airport when you need to quickly open your bag. The accessible design also allows you to pull out a laptop or jacket at the terminal with its Quick Grab magnetic opening and front pocket that can accommodate laptops up to 18 inches wide.
While we have yet to test it ourselves, the new spinner looks to offer some pretty novel functionality. We’ll hopefully be taking a closer look at the new July Capsule Carry-On Pro in the coming months to find out if it’s a total game changer or just a pretty spinner suitcase with a neat trick. The suitcase also comes with a TSA-approved lock and is compatible with Apple Find My and Google Find My for easy location tracking. It’s available in Midnight Black, Arctic White, Ocean Navy, Dune Amber and Alpine Green for $395 at July.
Over the years, our editors have tested dozens of water bottles from all the big brands. Yeti, Nalgene, Takeya, Hydro Flask, BruMate, Owala and Stanley, you name it, and we’ve likely tried it for ourselves. That final brand, Stanley, is catching our eye this week with the launch of an entirely new water bottle. It’s the first time in ages that the company has debuted an entirely new water bottle, as opposed to just tweaking one of its existing designs. But now Stanley has launched a new leakproof offering with its Flowstate Spring Bottle.
The new water bottle is taking a page out of Owala’s playbook by pairing the 20-ounce vessel with a locking dual-action lid that is designed to prevent small leaks and full-blown spills. That refreshed lid is the main selling point, but many of Stanley’s other features return on the Spring Bottle. It can keep cold drinks chilled for hours, thanks to its double-wall vacuum insulation, while the attached lanyard gives you an extra way to tote the bottle. We also appreciate that it has been designed to fit in most car cup holders.
Stanley’s latest release is now available for purchase and comes in nine colors. There’s everything from basic hues to more vibrant styles fit for spring, all of which sell for $30.
A capsule wardrobe for spring and summer
Uniqlo’s Summer 2026 LifeWear collection has officially arrived, leaning into a palette of neutrals and airy silhouettes. The clothing drop introduces basic yet elevated pieces that mix and match effortlessly in your rotation — so much so, that it’s all that deals editor Jacqueline Saguin has been wearing. Beyond the individual hero pieces, the collection excels in its modularity; each item is designed to play well with the next. By anchoring the wardrobe in timeless cuts and versatile fabrics, Uniqlo ensures you’ll rarely question what you’ll wear each day.
Wearing the striped Smooth Cotton Polo Sweater on a work call, Saguin was met with an onslaught of messages from her colleagues who promptly asked where she scooped the layer. It feels soft even after repeated washes, she added. Saguin also sized up in the sweater to layer the split-hem AIRism Cotton T-Shirt, a backbone of her closet, underneath. Uniqlo’s loose drawstring Linen Blend Easy Pants accompanied her on a vacation to Mexico City, while the all-new Cotton Culottes are the latest star of her wardrobe. She also adopted the Linen Blend Blouse into her repertoire, adoring its flattering square neck. Saguin paired Uniqlo’s stretchy Shirring Boatneck Sleeveless T-Shirt with the collection’s Tiered Maxi Skirt. The ensemble was equal parts comfortable and suitable for the office.
If you’ve been living in boots or sneakers all winter long, now is the time to give your feet some reprieve from thick socks and extra fabrics. Those who aren’t big fans of exposing their toes in the warmer months will appreciate SeaVees mesh Mary Janes that let toes peek through but still have a barrier between your skin and the ground.
This style has been out for some time, but to kick off the spring months, the brand introduced two new colors. Forever Red is exactly what it sounds like: a bright solid that gives outfits a pop of color amid a sea of neutrals. The other color option is Bloom, which is a light-pink base that’s stitched with tiny flowers. Both bases are espadrille beds that look rustic yet chic, especially with the handcrafted and adjustable buckle details.
To our surprise, the flats offer ample support around the arches, heel padding to keep feet elevated and cushioned footbeds that allow you to safely walk around for hours without causing foot pain.
Move over, Philips Hue. There’s a new contender for the best smart table lamp. Govee has been on a roll this year when it comes to new releases, and among many of its other 2026 launches, the company now has an entry in the portable lighting game with its Table Lamp Classic. Similar to the Philips Hue Go that Altland adores, the new Govee alternative features a weighted base and a thin, tapered shade with a built-in diffuser — all at half the price of the Philips Hue option. There are some adjustments in the feature set, however.
Govee’s version of the cordless lamp is actually brighter than the Hue Go, clocking in with a maximum brightness of 500 lumens, compared with the 370 lumens from its competitor. That brightness boost does come with a trade-off of less battery life, with up to 30 hours of ambient lighting and just five hours on its maximum brightness. The Hue Go, by comparison, can handle up to 48 hours of lighting your space. The main downgrade with Govee’s offering is that it ditches the IP54 water-resistance rating that you’d find on its pricer counterpart.
Still, at $80, the Govee Table Lamp Classic delivers many of the same features for far less. Altland is excited to try out this one in the near future and particularly appreciates that it supports all the popular smart home standards like Matter (for use with Siri setups), Amazon Alexa, Google Home and even Samsung SmartThings. It’s available for purchase directly from Govee as well as at other retailers like Amazon.
Pat McGrath Labs is already a favorite among CNN Underscored editors: The brand’s Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection Setting Spray was a standout winner in our inaugural Innovation Awards for its ability to lock in makeup without sacrificing a glowy finish. Now McGrath is turning that cutting-edge mentality toward achieving a perfected pout with the launch of the Lip Sculpt and Shade Lipstick smf Lip Liner Contour Duo. This dual-ended tool streamlines the lip combination into a single, travel-friendly pen, featuring a creamy matte liner on one end with a satin-finish lipstick on the other.
Debuting in 12 versatile shades, the collection ranges from a classic pinkish Divine Rose and Elson red to deep cocoa browns like Shockolate Brown. The formula is infused with avocado oil and pink purslane extract to help ensure the pigment glides on smoothly without tugging during application or drying out your lips throughout the day. Because the liner is slightly deeper in shape than its lipstick counterpart, the duo creates a contoured, dimensional look. Simply sketch the liner along your natural lip line to define the shape, then fill in the center with the satiny lipstick.
Priced at $32, this lip duo is a practical upgrade for anyone tired of digging through their bag and spending painstaking minutes in beauty stores to scout matching liners and lipsticks.
Whether you’re feeling inspired to work out by the spring weather or by folks who ran the Boston Marathon earlier this week, Warby Parker is here to bridge the gap between style and functional sport sunglasses with a new set of frames. There are a few options out there when it comes to protective eyewear, and often, they’re oversized, reflective and look more like ski goggles than an actual pair of sunglasses.
No matter your preferred outdoor activity, Warby Parker is stocked with performance eyewear frames that can handle everything from water sports to outdoor runs. Each pair comes with the option to add polarized lenses designed to give your surroundings a clearer look. Among the three polarized options, the Gray helps reduce glare on the water and the road, Rosewood features greater contrast for bright snow and foliaged trails and Brown is designed to deliver more depth for activities like hiking and fishing. If you run with a fitness tracker, the brand claims that the lenses help prevent your screens from looking distorted.
Each style is handcrafted and made in Italy, and features a no-slip fit. For additional security, each pair comes with a protective case with a strap and starts at $195. But if you happen to already adore a pair of non-Sport Warby Parker sun frames, you can have any of the new lenses added to them.
As deals editors at CNN Underscored, we are some of the first people to hear about the latest product news from reader-favorite brands. We provide a unique perspective in the service journalism field by covering every stage in a product’s life cycle. That means our senior deals editor, Rikka Altland, follows a product from the moment it’s announced through testing it herself and then circling back once it begins going on sale. And that goes double for our editors, Jacqueline Saguin and Elena Matarazzo.
Our goal here is to save you money, and by considering the entire journey of a product, we can offer better thoughts on if it’s worth your cash. Altland has been doing just that for nearly a decade, and that kind of experience extends to the rest of our deals team. Being an advocate for buyers to make sure we’re only recommending the best prices on the best products is what we’re all about, and that focus comes across in our work.
